[Last Laugh] KINKY BOOTS By Elaine Suede "Kinky Boots" finally made it to our town and the missus and I saw it over the weekend. [click here for Diane's earlier review] There aren't many surprises, but it is fun, well made, and has a breakout performance from Chiwetel Ejiofor as the smart, loveable, sassy TV/DQ, Lola. But, I kept wondering - why burden a PG, fun-for-all movie with a title like "Kinky Boots?" "Kinky" alone will have the ever-watching, righteous-right genuflecting on their own petard. Well, it appears that British sensibilities going back nearly half a century come into play. The "Avenging," Honor Blackman and Patrick Macnee, had a novelty hit by the same name, in the black and white days. I bring it to you here, today.
