Not all events listed here are in places where it is known
cross-dressers are welcome.
While in theory any performance in a public venue which is
about gender or sexual variance should be safe, this isn't always
true. I've attempted to mark venues based on whether
I've been to them with good results.

In M4M, powerful leaders take it upon themselves to
rid Vienna of freedom, brothels and unlawful sexual activity,
much to the dismay of the citizens. In a very contemporary
take on this classic, 6 male actors portray 12 male and 6
female roles,reviving the all-male tradition of Shakespeare's
stage in an erotic, humurous and streamlined version of
Measure for Measure. Shakespeare's darkest and most sexual
play, M4M captures the disturbing and aberrant results
of sexual repression and exploitation and the dangers of
executive authority. Hmmm, sound familiar?

Singin'
In The Rain
November 10,
2006 - January 6, 2007
Sit back and enjoy the frivolity of America’s
most beloved musical, Singin’ in the Rain. This
light-hearted boy meets girl story features the
high-stepping dance style immortalized by Gene Kelly,
including the famous rain dance in a torrential downpour
live on stage! This delightful musical comedy takes us
to panic-filled Hollywood when silent movies are pushed
aside for the new sensation of “talkies.” Hilarious
problems pop up when the two hottest silent film stars, Don
Lockwood and Lina Lamont, must prove
themselves as real actors with real voices. Don
fares well, but Lina has a voice like nails on
a chalkboard. Will the audience catch on when Lina
tries to dub her voice? The refreshing, sensational
score includes your favorites “Make ‘Em
Laugh,” “Good Morning,” and the title song, “Singin’
in the Rain.” The care-free fun of the 20’s and
the glitz and glamour of Hollywood make this a must-see
show for the holidays. Start a new family holiday
tradition with the Carousel.
